This little town is an important harbor and a popular vacation spot. The area's primary industry focuses on the exportation of cranberry products, with many cranberry bogs to be seen north and south of town. The beaches are strewn with agates, jasper and other semiprecious stones, making them popular with rockhounds, sunbathers and beachcombers. Enjoy birding, surfing, crabbing, fishing, mushroom picking and more. Golfing at one of the three nearby courses attract many: Bandon Dunes, Pacific Dunes, and Bandon Trails. Local attractions include the Bandon Historical Society Museum, Bullards Beach State Park, and West Coast Game Park Safari.
